David Baer is passionate about blending business and law to strategize and solve complex business and legal issues. As an entrepreneur and pioneer, he has enjoyed a successful career as an attorney, business owner, partner, and COO and General Counsel. He is a member of the Bar in the state of Minnesota. Minnesota Lawyer named him a part of its “15 Attorneys of the Year.”  Minnesota Law and Politics also named him a “Rising Star” for several years.

He is currently working at O’Shaughnessy Holding Company as COO and General Counsel. His current position allows him to bring together two of his passions—law and business. David Baer guides short-term initiatives and long-term goals to achieve strong business results. Some of the companies he handles under OHC include Luminara Worldwide and Element Electronics.

With a strong business perspective and focus David Baer succeeds in dynamic, challenging, and exciting environments.  As a leader, he is dedicated and driven. He is passionate about empowering, motivating, and making a difference in many people’s lives. He works hard to inspire others and provide opportunities that will bring personal and professional growth.

David Baer received his B.A. in communications from the University of Minnesota, J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law, and MBA from St. Thomas University. He enjoys outdoor activities such as biking, skiing, and traveling.
